I have just ended a bad relationship, but before we decided to part ways, we bought a car together. He took the car. We got this car in September 2012. Is it too soon for him to have it refinanced in his name only? If he refuses to have it refinanced, what are my options? How can I get my name removed from this car loan? Please help!
I purchased an iPhone case from Best Buy and it was missing a piece. I called LifeProof to run the serial numbers on the case and they told me that my case was counterfeit. When I contacted Best Buy about the case, they denied that the product could be fake. Best Buy offered to exchange the product or give me my money back. I am distraught. I now feel very violated and I am terrified that other products that I have purchased from Best Buy are fake as well. Should I take legal action towards this?
Do I have any recourse against a Washington state law that states I must pay sales tax on the NADA book value of a car? I paid 9,000 for the vehicle and am being taxed on a NADA value of 5,000. We have the proper seller documentation to validate the purchase price.

I got a small loan from Fidelity National Loans in Mississippi. I used my car for collateral. The contract stated that if the car was totaled then the contract would be void. My car was wrecked in an accident on September 3, 2011 and my last payment was on August 19, 2011. I informed the company after that I faxed all info the state trooper gave me. They said it was not enough and they took me to court in February, 2012.
My girlfriend’s daughter crashed my car into the fence of her apartment complex. She called the landlord the next morning (being that the accident happened on the weekend while the office was closed) and told her what happened and that we would pay for the damages to the fence. An estimate for repairs was given to my girlfriend later that day for the cost of repairs to the fence.
A couple I know decided to add on to their house. They hired a contractor. The local building inspectors issued the necessary building permits at various times of the construction. The building inspectors inspected the work as it progressed. After the building was over, there was a heavy rain and part of the interior ceiling of the new addition collapsed. Turns out the contractor had not installed vent flashing on the new roof of the new addition to the home.
I was advised by mail about 9 mos ago that I am one of the former TD clients that may have been affected thus may participate in the settlement. Do you think it is worthwhile to pursue this further?
Landscapers tend the grounds where I work each week. I suspect scratches that recently appeared on my car are a result of them not taking care while cutting the grass around the parking lot. I spoke to the owner who seemed willing to pay half of the repair costs but now haven’t heard from him in a couple of days. Can I sue for damages?
