I’m a father of a 2-yr boy and I pay child support to his mother. I am wondering if I need to also pay for daycare, outside of the child support that I already pay. Does a babysitter fall under the same category as daycare?
I am 17 years old soon to be 18 and I live in South Africa. I have no idea if you will be able to help me but my mother and father have been in an on gong maintenance (child support) battle for the last 5 years. It has been suggested to me that I myself sue my father for maintenance as I still live with my mother.
My ex-husband and I agreed to end his child support payments permanently and I get to claim our child every year for taxes. Would both of us signing a notarized document of some sort be sufficient and not have legal repercussions on either one of us?
My Wife and I reside in West Virginia. We recently found out that her ex husband who lives in New Jersey put in a child support order. We were unaware of any court dates or judgements until recently. We are presently looking to purchase a home. Can a lien be put on the home for unpaid child support. Keep in mind he lives in NJ and we live in WV and were never notified of any court proceedings.
I am currently receiving child support for my three children, for which I have custody. We are owed nearly 000 in back pay, how do I go about getting it?
Back story: February 15th 1993 I had sex with a women (protection used) it was a one night stand. Four months later she meets up with me again, tells me she is pregnant and it is mine. I step up, provide financial support, went to the baby shower, listened to her on the phone, etc. Then in August she moved to Texas (I am in Arizona) – I get a call in late September that she is in labor and needs me to come to Texas – at this point the dates didn’t match up, so I requested a paternity test – provided her with all my information (full name, DOB, SSN, employer, etc.) but told her I was not sending any more money until paternity was established.
My husbands daughter is 18 years old and should be graduating this month, however due to lack of credits she may possibly not graduate. Our court order says support until 19 or graduation. We live in California. I understand the reason for the law as there are plenty of kids in school that are 18. However does this apply to a child who have dropped out or flunked out and has no intention of returning?
My daughter lives in Seattle and the support order is from NY, she has not graduated from high school and doesn’t attend class. She will be 19 in October. My order states she must finish HS or be 21 on her way to college. I really need to stop this support I have never been late for 24 years with support of all three of my children.
Once the mother has exonerated the father from child support and he’s received the papers stating such from the Attorney General’s office in Texas, can she suddenly decide to apply for support and change her mind even though there’s no custody or visitation agreement of any kind?
Can my 17 year old son, who is still in high school and now a father, be sued for child support or am I responsible for him? We live in North Carolina.
