My husband and his ex-wife both agreed to a child support amount, was written up and all legal. She recently served him with papers that she wanted more money than he was paying, and wants to get back child support over and above what she had agreed on. We reside in Tennessee, please let me know if this is legal, or once an agreement is made how can she back up now and say she wants more?
My fiance’s ex-wife has asked him to give up his rights to his two sons. My question to you is will he still have to pay child support? She is planning on getting married in the near future would the courts allow this. We live in the state of Missouri.
My ex wife and I were divorced in Bergen County, PA. She has now moved with my son to Northern New Jersey. She has file a complaint of domestication and she says it is for the sole purpose of legally stating that she resides in NJ now. In this complaint it now states a lot of different things. Such as paying support until the child is 23. How can I stop all these new things from happening?
My son’s father and I were never married. He wasn’t there for the birth and is not on the birth certificate. He has been in and out of my son’s life seeing him only about a dozen times (he is now over two years old) sometimes with as much as a year between visits. I have two adult children that I pay child support to. one is 22 the other is 19. the oldest graduated high school at the age of 20 the other is still in high school and looks like he will not graduate till he is 20 all so I have several issues that need answers. My ex and I agreed to my paying 00.00 a month in child support for my 3 children. The courts further stated that I need to keep medical insurance on my children as well. I really don’t have a problem with either of these conditions, however, now my ex wants me to drop the insurance and pay her an extra 00 dollars a month in child support. I paid extra in child support for 3 years because my ex threatened me. We have just terminated the child support and I found out that while I paid in extra support, the courts did not pay that money out to my ex. What happens to that money? Can I get it back?
