DearEsq is the oldest free 'ask a lawyer' site on the Internet, and one of the few places that you can ask a lawyer a question for free, and get answers from real lawyers, not only at no charge to you, but without having to give up your email address and get spammed by dozens of law firms wanting you to use their services.
I was incarcerated in 2005 for attempted murder, during which my wife divorced me. Since being released, my ex-wife has filed to raise my child support (which I have no problem with), and she is attempting to control my visitations. Is this something that will stand in court?

What should I do? I talked to them and they said it was my portion or my foundation was not good etc. Before they repaved the driveway, the whole drive way was covered with cement block and thus, there was not water leakage problem.
The county claims it is private so they are not going to pave it, but on the other hand says we can’t keep the public from using it. There are paved accesses available to the school. Can we close our road to through traffic? What can we do?
My father made me co-owner of the two houses he owned, prior to my marriage. When I got married I moved into one of them while he remained in the other. In the divorce agreement (Los Angeles County Superior Court) he and I signed off that she could continue living there with the children until a specific date or her re-marriage, in return for reduced spousal support.
I am a resident in a mobile home park. My landlord is suing me for unlawful detainer. Service of some notices, such as the court date, are sent through the U.S. mail. The landlord receives the mail and then distributes it to all the residents. Is this a conflict of interest and would this make service of these notices defective?
