My father purchased a home with my boyfriend at the time. My ex-boyfriend did not equally contribute financially, and now wants us to pay 0,000 for him to give up his share of the property. The plan is to get him off the deed and mortgage and put me on as the co-owner. I was told that the only way to do this is to re-finance. We do not want to sell the house either. I just want to know my options at this point and what he is entitled to. Thanks in advance for your response.
Is there an Alabama law pertaining to notification of asbestos in a dwelling being sold?
Hi, I have had a reverse mortgage for several years. Because of rising costs I have not been able to pay for home insurance for four or five months. I’m 81. The mortgage company is threatening to foreclose and evict me if I do not get insurance within a couple of weeks. All the taxes are paid. Can I be evicted?
My friend was separated from her husband, who recently died. Her name is on the property, which is in foreclosure, but the bank won’t talk to her. What can she do?
When my stepfather died, he left his half of the home he and my mother share to me. My mother intended to do so but is now remarrying and is planning on leaving her interest to her future husband. She is also making provisions that he can live in the house until his death. Should she die first, how do my future stepfather and I work out our interests in the property? Can he live a home of which he only has partial interest?
My boyfriend and I want to buy a house but have been told by a lender that, because he is still married to another woman, we won’t qualify for a loan. What can we do?
I was willed a home which will sell at a huge loss. What are my options?
I haven’t received a copy of a sales contract I signed for the purchase of a new home. Nor did I receive a copy of the HOA by-laws in a timely manner. Can I legally get out of this contract?
Recently we’ve noticed little black flies and we have had a plumber come out. He did a sewer line test and found that the pipe under the house is deteriorating. I was just wondering if there is anything that we can do to the sellers, the plumber said that this didn’t happen over night it took years to happen.
I saw a home listed for sale, contacted the selling agent, took a tour of the home and made an offer to buy. The offer was rejected, the house is still for sale-with another real estate firm, but I have made no further inquiries into buying the house. Through a third party, I have learned the seller would take four hundred thousand for the home, I’m willing to pay the four hundred thousand-but can’t pay the extra 28 thousand on top of the 400 thousand to cover real estate fees.
