Someone in our Community is Circulating a Petition and has Threatened Anyone that Disagrees with him, What Can We do?

We have an Individual that has published a petition in our community. This petition states that our elected officials have made statements that they have not. This individual also continues to threaten anyone that disagrees with him that they will be sued by him. Additionally the petition claims that by signing the petition individuals will be preserving a right to vote that is not allowed for under Florida statutes. Can I File for a Hold on my Child Support Payments While I’m Waiting for Modification?

I filed a motion for child support modification on 11/06/2006 and reissued it on 01/06/2007 because my co. closed it’s business. I’m now 1,600 arrears and child support in about to suspend my license, report this on my credit and they are taking 160 dollars from a weekly unemployment check of 340. My Ex is Unable to Pay Arrearages, If He Terminates his Parental Rights Does he Still Need to Pay for Back Child Support?

My ex husband has had no interaction with our minor child and lacks the finances to pay support, so he has asked to terminate his parental rights so that my new husband whom has taken care of my daughter since she was born can adopt her, my question is this : Can I write this paperwork up myself or do I need to hire an attorney to do this for me? My Ex who Lives Out of State isn’t Paying for Private School Tuition, Health Insurance and other Child Support Costs, What Should I do?

I live in New York State and my ex in New Jersey. My ex constantly violates court orders by not paying what he is court ordered to do and he never faces any consequences for them. We are going back to court on Friday because he now is refusing to pay Catholic School tuition for our daughter who is in the fourth grade. It was the school of choice for my son who graduated two years ago and now attending public high school. He has been paying all along, but now refuses. How can he do that? I know of two men, my relatives, who are obligated to pay child support. One receives, what’s called, General Assistance, in Pennsylvania.
