How to Subpoena Evidence
|
Summary
I need to supoena the video tape from a state trooper’s patrol car during the time I was ticketed. The alleged Infractions were in a construction zone so the patrol car’s lights were constantly on which is the trigger for the video to begin recording. I’m totally lost as to how to get this video. |
“I need to supoena the video tape from a state trooper’s patrol car during the time I was ticketed. The alleged Infractions were in a construction zone so the patrol car’s lights were constantly on which is the trigger for the video to begin recording. I face two serious tickets in NJ and I’m sure the video would back up my story and not the officers. The traffic court judge told me his court can only supoena witnesses not evidence such as this. I’m totally lost as to how to get this video.”
This will vary from location to location; you need to consult with a criminal law attorney in your area – they should know exactly what you need to do to get a copy of that tape.
