My property has been in my family for 50 years. My neighbor moved in 7 years ago. Last year he had a survey done and it came back that the line was against my house and part of my driveway. How is this possible? For 50 years we shared an even line between our homes.
I was awakened about 2 a.m. by the sound of loud aggressive barking that I thought was in my house. My son was visiting with his small Chihuahua and when I went to see what was happening his dog was barking from the top of my sofa at the window. My husband and son were in the front porch and told me that they were sitting outside when the next door neighbor’s dog, a German shepherd, had jumped the fence and came after my son’s dog.
I had a survey done recently and discovered that my neighbor has their irrigation 2.5 feet into my yard. The sprinkler guys said they need to move it back over so they can install my own irrigation system. My neighbor doesn’t feel like moving it. What can I do?
My neighbor won’t allow me access to her roof to fix mine and the way the properties have settled I have to use her roof to fix mine.
Hi! I was wondering – I live in the country so we flood irrigate. The only rule I was told is that I had to keep my part of the ditches clean from debris and weeds.
About 8 years ago the township sent both me and my neighbor a letter saying that the retaining wall between our properties is falling and dangerous. I found out that the previous owner of my neighbor’s property built the wall.
Over 20 years ago, I built a fence on a boundary line that separates my yard from the yard adjacent to mine. No one had purchased that particular property when I built the fence and I had HOA approval.
I purchased my home a year ago which has an underground lawn sprinkler system that was installed by the previous owners. My neighbor is planning to put up a fence in the next couple of weeks. Both he and I had the land surveyed and the property lines were staked.
My new neighbor bought some land right next to me 8 months ago and is trying to take me to court for the rights to my water meter that is located on his property right beside the highway. He is under the impression that anything on his property is his and he wants my water meter since he doesn’t have one. When I bought my house 4 years ago (a house that’s been standing for 50 or 60 years) it said that I have water with Garland County.
