I live with my boyfriend of 6 months and he is currently in the hospital, unable to speak. Can his children force me to move out of his home? He is 72 years old and I am 50 years old.
There is a water leak on my property that the village is unable to locate. It is not on my service line or meter, it has been determined that it is from old abandoned village lines that the village does not use anymore or have a map for. They dug up my yard last May 2011 and couln’t find anything, brought in 2 different water specialists and they couldn’t find anything, so they covered up the holes threw out some grass seed and never came back. Since this time my yard has become a muddy mess.
I bought a property 4 years back, with my ex-boyfriend and sister. The three of us are registered in the home loan, and the title deed. I am separated with my ex due to abuse and also have a restraining order against him. One of the orders is not to contact me and come to this house that we (the three of us) bought. I have been financially responsible to pay the home loan and it has been deducted from my salary since day one.
Hi. I bought a house recently and was trying to refinance it when the bank called and said we would have to get an environmental study done on the property because there is a conveyance on the deed that says for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas tank and lines. I cannot find where this tank may have been and have researched the deed back 60 years to when it was a farm, but found nothing about the conveyance and if there was a tank of any kind installed underground.
In Minnesota, where she lives, my grandmother’s home was condemned. She was placed into a behavioral health hospital. I was told she could not sign paperwork to make me her power of attorney because she was being held for her mental state. She passed three mental evaluations and is now being held in an assisted living facility; although the court has not ruled her to be mentally competent yet.
My great grandparents bought some town lots in 1906 at a town site in Texas that doesn’t exist anymore. It was near a salt and alkaline lake. My grandmother, and then my mother, and now I am paying taxes on it. No one has ever offered to buy these lots in a hundred years. Last July someone did and was trying to buy the lots of other descendants of the original settlers.
I have a rare vehicle parked in my driveway. I am in the process of restoring it. The driveway is behind my house on an alley and the car is not visible from the street. The code enforcement guy is trying to say that it is a public nuisance. I very much disagree.
My father-in-law is trying to complete a quit deed in Florida with a family member in New York. The family member has received the paperwork, but is giving us the run around about sending the paperwork back so we can have it processed. He is trying to have some work done on his home (the mortgage and bills on which he makes all the payments), and the county we live in needs to have who ever is on the deed to sign the paperwork so the house can be repaired.
A spark from a fire I thought was out accidentally caused damage to my neighbor’s garden. My homeowners insurer is taking their time getting back to me and in the meantime, the neighbors have taken liberties with the repairs and billed me for what I think is an excessive amount. How should I take care of this?
My brother and his wife live on the second floor of a two family home in New Jersey. My sister-in-laws brother and his wife live on the first floor. The names of all four people are on the mortgage, but only three of the names are on the deed; my brothers name is not on the deed.
