My 6 month old’s father has filed for joint custody with the court. He has had 2 DUI’s and has been ordered to have a breathalyzer in his car. He also lives with his marijuana dealer, whom I have witnessed selling drugs. I want my daughter to have a relationship with her father, but not in his home overnight. Is there anything I can do?
I separated from my wife 2 years ago when I caught her cheating. I took the 3 kids and she moved in with her lover. I have never asked her for a dime and she does not see the kids often enough. QUESTION: SHE HAS CLAIMED THE KIDS ON HER TAXES THESE PAST 2 YEARS AND THEY ARE IN MY CUSTODY 100% I never received the divorce papers, but she brought me a copy with A FORGED SIGNATURE that states she has full custody. WHAT CAN I DO??????
I have sole legal and physical custody of our 10 year old son. My custody papers issued in the state of California back in 2000 say that if I intend to move, I must notify my ex of our new address. It does not state that I have to notify the court system, or anything along those lines. I still live within the state, although 9 hours away, but we plan to move to the east coast this summer to be near family. My question is, with the papers having been drawn up 7 years ago is the agreement still considered current, and could my ex block the move if he wanted to?
What recommendations do you have for someone whose spouse was arrested during her 6th month of pregnancy, stayed 2 days in jail due to her BAC of .247 (determined by her visit from jail to the local hospital) and later charged with 3rd degree assault followed by probation. ubsequently the mother went on a trip to visit relatives promising to return in one week. One and one-half years later she has now filed for divorce. She was asked repeatedly to come back home to no avail, and even denied visitation until recently when the court ordered visitation times. The child is behind in speech, development and not potty trained and just recently learned to start wiping herself. Is this parental kidnapping, child abuse, child neglect, ???? And if so, should charges be filed in the state in which I reside or in the state the mother lives in?
My wife has recently asked me for a divorce. We will be divorcing in the state of North Carolina. The state has a one year separation obligation that must be fulfilled before filling for the divorce. I am a member of the USAF currently stationed in Wichita, KS. She is keeping our son with her in NC. Can she legally relocate with him like this?

My little girl is 10 years old. She will turn 11 in June. I’m having a problem with her wanting to go to her Dad’s every other weekend. She goes over to her Dad’s and a lot of the time his bowling, golf, hunting, etc. comes first. She doesn’t understand why she even has to go if she is going to be left with her stepmom. I know that her visitation is not going to be about her all the time but some of the time would be nice. What can I do in the State of Louisiana. Can I bring her before a judge or what?
My husband was granted 50/50 custody of my 3 children based on the mediation report. He continuously leaves the kids with me on his days, so he can visit his girlfriend who lives 300 miles away and when he does have he kids he is on call at work or on the phone to his girlfriend. I have been documenting every instance and would like to know if the courts will grant me an order to show cause, so I can revisit the child visitation.
About a year and a half ago, my daughter’s ex-in-laws hired a lawyer to pursue gaining custody of their Other Son’s children which were born out of wedlock. This lawyer was a neighbor of this family and attended their church, etc. Now this lawyer is a judge and he was assigned to the custody case of my daughter and her ex- husband (who this now-judge knows the family well, etc.) Without doling out the whole messy story – isn’t there a conflict of interest here regarding this judge? Shouldn’t my daughter have been allowed to have a different judge?
My son was living w/his than girlfriend and her two children (by two different fathers) She goes out almost every weekend by herself, goes on vacation to Florida, Puerto Rico by herself and always my son is here with his son and her other two children. Now, she decides that she’s leaving and taking the baby with her (my son’s baby) Does he have any grounds that he can use to get custody of his baby?
