For legal advice in your state and your situation you should consult with an attorney in your state who is familiar with the rules and laws in your state.

“I lived in MA for the last 12 years, I got divorced about one and a half years ago after about 10 years of marriage . when we went through the divorce process, me and my ex-wife had a mutual Lawyer friend that we used to facilitate the agreement and paperwork, he basically represented her and I represented myself. I am not really looking to change anything in the agreement but every once an a while my ex will act like I am not being supportive enough, I just want to know for my own information if you think i am doing all I can, because that’s how I feel with my financial situation.

My ex did not work when we were married, and still have not trying to get a job, instead she is going to school full time under a scholarship.

I make about $78,000.00 a year, I pay all my child’s Health Insurance and Private School cost, the School is about $360 a month, I also pay her Health Insurance and Car Insurance, and I pay her $305 a week for child support. basically my total cost of support a week is somwere between $380 & $400 a week…

Like I said I am not looking to use this info for any legal process, just for my information and peace of mind…

Thank you in advance for your response…”

Question: Whether we or you or your ex or anybody else thinks that you are or are not doing all you can does not really matter. All that really matters is what Massachusetts law says about how much you should be paying. You should contact a Massachusetts family law attorney and ask for a consultation. The consultation should either be free or fairly inexpensive, and so should be well worth it for the peace of mind.
