My twins’ dad has a court order for alternating weekends and when he takes them he sometimes works night shift & leaves them with his significant other, who is not responsible, only the dad. The order stated in case of an emergency he’s to take them back to the mother, for which does not. Is he in violation since it’s with him they need to be?
I live in the state of CA., county of San Bernardino. Brief history: My daughter “M” (17-1/2 yrs. old) recently moved out and now lives full time with her grandparents (my parents), this has happened more than once over the years. There is approximately 98% no communication. The only time I receive a text (no personal, email, usps or phone contact – their choice) is to ask insurance information. I am given little to no information on my daughter’s health or anything having to do with her life. My daughter “M” is scheduled to see a psychiatrist in November.
My divorce was signed in 1997. I am a disabled physician. The onset of the disability was 1/97 -and was a psych problem. Because of this, I signed a divorce giving my children 50% of my disability check until they were age 26. 1 child is 25 now, the other is 14.
I gave temporary custody of my two children to my father. Which was over seven years ago. I was supposed to see once a month for one half hour then all of a sudden nothing. My father just disappeared with my children. I was terminated from cps and could have had my children back that day but my father for some reason decided that he could play god keep my kids for himself.
My wife had a son out of wedlock and was the custodial parent. The biological father agreed and a court order for child support was initiated, automatically deducting the child support from his retirement check. I have raised my step-son since day 1 and I love him like he is my biological child. He is now 14 years old. My wife passed away unexpectedly and I asked the biological parent to allow me and my wife’s mother co-guardianship, to which he agreed and it was ordered by the court.
My sister has a 7 year old boy who has not seen his dad in about 2 years. The father is not on the birth certificate per his request because he did not want to have to pay anything when it came to his son. My sister moved to North Dakota when the baby was 1, to be closer to her family and to better her and her son’s life. The father had no problem with her moving since that way, he didn’t have to fork out the money to care for her or his son. The father lives in Oregon and my sister has taken their son out there to see him, but stopped 2 years ago because she can’t afford it.
My wife had an affair four years ago and became pregnant. The father wanted nothing to do with her or the baby. We worked through it all and have a handsome 3 year old boy. I have no interest in taking a paternity test. I’m on the birth certificate as the father. Now out of spite the biological father wants to see our son. He is not a good man by any means. What can he do if anything to make it happen and does he have rights after not wanting anything to do with him?
My boyfriend walked out on me and our 6 month old son two days ago. I found out he was cheating on me with his ex-girlfriend. I want to know if i have a good chance on getting full custody of my little boy.
I’m writing to you with a question in regards to my sister’s three children that have become a ward of the state. Recently my sister has made some bad choices & due to her streak of bad luck that has followed, DCFS has now become involved, having an open case on them. The social worker claims that the children have not been removed from mother, & that her rights have not been taken, but it is now court ordered that they must reside with mom at my home – ”maternal aunt”?
I have recently learned information about my 4 year old son’s father that leads me to think that he is not providing a safe enviroment while my son is in his custody. We have no legal documents or custody orders of any kind. We all lived together along with my 8-year-old son from a previous relationship, until the summer of 2010. Unfortunately I do have a history of prescription pill addiction which lead to several arrests.
