‘My divorce decree states this “The marital residence shall be immediately appraised and placed upon the market for sale. The parties shall accept any offer at or above the appraised value and shall promptly execute all documents to effectuate the sale.†Would this translate into that either my ex spouse or myself could purchase the home from each other as well as any other party that makes an offer at or above the appraised value?’

Question: So long as there is nothing in your divorce decree prohibiting either of you from purchasing the property, there should be no reason that you or your ex could not purchase the property, so long as it was at or above the appraised value, as required by the order.
