If I have property in my name, can my name be removed without my consent or knowledge?
Theoretically, no. At a minimum, all the procedures for changing the ownership of property are supposed to involve notice to the record owner. However, as a practical matter, it is possible that the notice would ever reach you. This is one of the many reasons that it’s important to periodically inspect any property that you own.
