My husband and I have his ex-wife in our lives who is just the vision of torment. She does everything she can to make life miserable and threaten their divorce decree to literally ruin his and our lives. Do I have any rights as the wife now to stop her using every detail in the decree to threaten him and us? Is a side agreement concerning the marital residence enforceable the same was as a divorce decree? Is it punishable by law? Thank you for your help.

You do not have any rights regarding the divorce of your husband and his ex-wife unless there is a marital settlement agreement that states otherwise. Nevertheless, if his ex-wife keeps harassing you, you may want to consider filing a restraining order against her. In regards to the side agreement, it will likely be unenforceable (depending on your state law).
