I gave an acre of land to my great-nephew and niece who were minors. Later their dad tried to sell the land but could not because my mother’s property line went through the middle of the lot. This made the title clouded. Later my mother gave me her land but kept a life estate interest. My mother died in 2015. Would the title now be clear or would it still be clouded?

Judging from the fact that we don’t understand what happened, we’d guess the title is still cloudy. We don’t see how someone’s property line can go “through” a lot, since property lines are what define lots.

This sounds like the sort of thing that may require more than one professional to clear up. We would probably start with an attorney, but you may also need a surveyor.
