My HOA (In California) is forcing us to have all vaccinations current on our pet and then provide proof. The HOA wants a photo of my pet for their records. Is it legal for them to force me to get vaccinations other than rabies and to submit a photo? These are amended rules in the CC&R’s that they just added. Thank you!
I’m not aware of any law that would prevent them from having those kind of restrictions on pet ownership within the association. That doesn’t mean there isn’t one, and if it’s going to be a substantial problem for you, you would start by asking them what their legal authority for the restriction is.
