My boyfriend already has a domestic violence case out and I called the police because he hit me. He’s on parole. He was arrested two days ago and has no court date set. Hiis bail is $100,000.00 and he’s a 2-striker. What is going to happen to him? Thank you very much.

Your boyfriend should retain a public defender immediately for legal advice or a private criminal defense attorney. Depending on the charge and evidence, he may or may not be prosecuted. Contact an attorney. The attorney will be able to determine if he will be formerly charged with a misdemeanor and/or felony and what steps to take from there in consideration of his criminal history.
