“The cable company hit my neighbors gas line and when the utility company came to repair it, their machinery damaged my lawn and underground wasteline.  How do I handle this?”

I would start by making a claim with the utility company that caused the damage.  If they’re not cooperative, have a chat with your homeowner’s insurance agent; they may be able to help.
