The former owner of land we just purchased allowed a neighbor to keep cows on the property. We have requested that the cows and all equipment, such as troughs, be removed by the end of the year, effectively giving them, at the time, 8 weeks notice. The neighbor does not want to remove the cows. What recourse do we have if they don’t comply? Thanks.

If they’re using your land without a legal right or your permission, that’s trespassing (and possibly creating a nuisance). You can sue them.
