I Wasn’t Notified About my Child Support Payments, Can my Ex Give Me a Court Order for Back Support?
I was advised from my attorney to not send money to my ex-wife for it will be viewed as a “gift” and not counted as “child support”. My attorney told me to wait to be notified from the courts and if they do not notify me then my ex-wife did not pursue it and not to send her money personally. Now my ex-wife is pursuing child support in Butler County, Ohio where she now resides and I received a note for four years worth of back child support that was never enforced or established.
